I wanted to let my friends know that my mom Anne died on May 5. She was at home with my Dad and family members. They had been married over 66 years. She had been diagnosed with lung cancer in August and was on Hospice. Been enjoying my friends MFU stories and keeping a low profile. The weather has been cold and rainy and making the depression rear its ugly head. I have lots of things to be thankful for..so I should stop obscessing!!!!

In my ongoing battle with depression and anxiety - I seem to be a hard case. My latest medication Effexior has just bit the dust - so I am starting on a new one today - Cybalta- it is supposed to be good for both of my problems - so wish me luck. I'm starting to feel better after stopping taking nortryptiphine (sp.) I was getting allergy-like symptoms. I was breaking out in a rash which would flare up whenever I did anything which would make me sweat even a little and Sheila of the warm hands would also have cold fingertips. Just started with a new doc - to treat depression and anxiety. My therapist pointed me in her direction because she said I've never been completely treated. So the rounds of medication begins. Right now it's Zoloft and an anti-anxiety medication. Wish me luck ( Read more... )
