So, Belated Canadian Academic & Novel Writing Month (BeCaAcNoWriMo) is under way. Instead of 50,000 words in one month, I have to do 20,000 in a week and a half. 2 research papers at 8,000 words each and a 4,000 word experiment design/statistics paper. Josh is taking a basic programming course that I, through some fluke/miracle was waived from having to take. Nevertheless, I've been trying to follow along with what he's doing and occasionally I try and help him out when he gets stuck. The third week of classes is just beginning, and I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. We've been in Canada for just a bit over a month, and feels simultaneously like we've been here forever and like we just get here. Many aspects of our lives are going quite well. ( Here's a summary: )

So Josh and I went to check out the campus today, and we each met with our advisors. We came away amazed, impressed, excited and just a little intimidated.
( Oh my god it's so cool )

Last night we sent in our TA applications (results of which will be posted July 4th), and this morning the course outlines for the graduate level courses in Fall 2006 and Spring 2007 were posted.
