Signed a contract today. Am officially assistant director now! First day as An Adult tomorrow. Important Meeting in the morning! Celebrated by having a chocolate milk shake and french fries, mmmm!

Am doing lots better than last time, just slightly annoyed and a little bit hurt, but I'm seeing the person who hurt me very soon and hopefully we will work it out.

I've been running a photography club these past two weeks. It's amazing to see how the kids transform when they have a camera in their hands! It's a small club - only four out of 19 kids chose it (we're running an arts & crafts club and a detective club as well, haha), but it's four kids who need lots of guidance - and two are super hyperactive (one of them bounces off the walls but she can be trusted not to ruin the camera, the other can only focus for about two minutes, throws frequent fits and tries to take the camera apart every chance he gets). So our half-hour sessions have been pretty intense. It's been great, though... one of the kids, we had no idea he even liked cameras, but he lights up as soon as he sees the camera, and now he's even started dragging us to the place we keep them (he's non-verbal). He wants to take pictures all the time, and he giggles to himself while he snaps away at his favorite things (toy cars, plastic bags, pots and pans), SO CUTE! Another one, as soon as he's handed a camera, sits down and takes self-portraits. Also very cute. The third runs around and snaps photos of people, then proudly shows them off. The fourth... well, the fourth smiles a huge smile, then tries to disassemble the camera. But at least he's happy! It's been crazy, but it's been good. And today we finished off our two big posters and hung them up for everyone to see. The kids were super proud, and they should be, cause the posters are awesome! They also glued some of the photos they chose not to display on a sheet of paper, and then I laminated them so they could bring them home and not ruin them right away. It's been a long time since I've made a group of kids so happy, and it made me remember why it's important we offer challenging projects to these kids - even though it's challenging for us as well!
