So my dear nephew
Cliff hit the road this a.m. to drive eastward home. Hopefully he'll stay ahead of the miserable, cold, wet (snowy??) weather system that's supposed to arrive here in the next 24.
It was a real treat to get to know the "kid" over the last 10 days. Hope he enjoyed his stay. Wish we could have taken him on some more excursions, but the weather has been so crappy, plus E's working flat out and I've had gallery duties, biz assoc. nonsense, and reno guys to deal with. But I think he appreciated just kicking back, doing his own cycling-running stints, having homecooked dinners with us every night and basically hangin' out in the Studio.
It IS a great little retreat space, with its loft bed, mini-fridge, cable internet, gas fireplace, all surrounded by forest and with a creek running at the back. So different from our lakefront house, which has been chaotic what with the aforementioned renovators banging away.
So now that I've got the Studio back, I've got some serious creating to do. I have three shows coming up in May and only about half the works I need for them.
"Ah...madam Muse...Can I have a word...."
