So, on the first full day of spring we get...SNOW? wtf
But 'tis the season for bright new beginnings and I'm grateful that...
-- it's sunny now, and the sprouted seeds out in the vegie beds (radish, mesclun and Asian greens mix) are cosy and safe under a plastic row cover, the rhubarb and garlic are up and the strawberries are putting out new leaves
-- we don't live in snow-ravaged central or atlantic Canada (sooo sorry for you folks)
-- my younger nephew is coming for a first time visit in a couple of weeks (even if my sister is not) and I've arranged some really cool adventures for/with him
-- we'll finally finish the downstairs renos this year (flooring, new stairs, new kitchen)
-- my winter hibernation-contemplation has resulted in the birth of a new project:Feeding the Muse that combines my passions for growing food, cooking, art and writing
-- I'll be working on a book and video series with my friend and chef extraordinaire
