Game, set, match.

Well, I’m officially moved in for round two of good ol’ Winona.

It was easier and harder to move and leave in some senses. Like these past few days have been absolutely packed with events and gatherings and parties and such in attempts to see everyone before I left (which may or may not have been successful, depending on the person and the situation), but I still didn’t get to see everyone that I wanted to see and didn’t get everything done that I wanted to accomplish.

It was also easier to pack up and move this time, just because I already knew what to expect, and it was about ten times easier. Hell, I packed everything; my entire life, within 4 hours. But it was also harder to leave everyone this year...I know I’ll talk to everyone twice as much during the school year in comparison as to how many I do now, but it’s still not quite the same...you know that you can see them, whereas now you know you can talk, you just don’t know when you’ll see them again.

Moving in wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be...I figured it would be this horrendous event that would completely ruin the day. But, I was wrong...loading up and taking off was relatively painless, and getting down there was uncomplicated. Josh and Devin helped mi familia and I to move in, which made things go by ten times faster. Josh and my dad put together my desk and bookshelf for me, which absolutely rocked. I’m only about a 1/3 of the way unpacked, but it’s all good. I can do it later. Matt’s stepdad hooked up our wireless for us like an hour ago, so we have internet once again.

I’m really quite excited to live here. I already get along with Matt really well, but my goodness...Devin and I get along so so well. Better than I would have ever expected! I’m extremely excited to get to know her better...I love what I see already, and I have the feeling that this year will be quite fun with her around. I heart my roomies :)

Last night was pretty fun...they finally finished the rest of the Smaug (eating area) and the addition to Kryzsko is finished, too, and it’s quite nice. Josh, Devin, and I went to go visit Kel and Jenny in their room, which is actually pretty nice, too. We hung out there for a bit, and then went to show Devin around campus a little bit. We ended up in the student union and the Smaug, whereupon we got free pop and went to explore the new addition. The girls hadn’t been inside our house yet, so they came back with us to get a tour. They ended up staying for quite a while...which ended up being really fun because everyone decided to congregate in my room and watch me unpack. It was pretty much amazing.

I took a quick shower once everyone left, and oh my God...I never thought taking a shower would make me so euphorically happy. It’s been really hot and humid here today...I felt disgusting all day yesterday because I’d been sweating from moving and lifting and carrying stuff and climbing and walking long distances...definitely not cool. So, the consensus is that cold showers on a humid summer day = pretty much amazing.

Now I’m just procrastinating on ubnpacking...Kavan’s party on Friday night was rather emotionally charged, but really fun. I’m glad I got to see everyone before we left. I do miss everyone, though...as wonderful as it is to be back, it’s weird not being able to drive somewhere and see a friend. But at the same time, it’s just as cool to know friends are a short ways away. Plus it also helps that I love everyone I’m rooming with, and Jenny and Kel get along really well with Matt and Devin.

It should be fun.
