I absolutely hate not being able to sleep when you need to.
So this weekend's been pretty fun and eventful...mostly family-filled (one big family reunion and a smaller one today), but occasional friend-filled moments, too. Went to the Irish Fair for a wee bit tonight, but definitely missed Gaelic Storm's performance, as they performed at 4:30 instead of 6:30. Jerks. I was most upset and quite disappointed that I missed it, but such is life. I got lots of hugs today, though, which made Rachel a happy girl (especially when coming from her favorite oldest guy cousins).
Nicki, Caleb, Bryan, Melissa, and myself were the outlaws at the Irish Fair, but had a rather fun excursion to Perkins later. You know, I think that was the first time in about two years that I was there when it was still light out. It was pretty damn awkward, not gonna lie. I'm always there after dark. It was weird.
Rachel and Chad had their baby...Abigail Grace was born at 5:04 in the morning on August 9th, and she weighed 7 lbs 6 oz., and was 20 inches long. From the picture Maia sent me and the pictures Rachel's posted, she's absolutely beautiful. She got her mom's smile and eyes and her dad's nose and cheeks :)
So when I came home, I felt pretty much disgusting...worst headache I've ever had in my life (and I rarely ever get headaches), so I took asprin and went upstairs to veg. I ended up feeling so awful that I went to bed at 10:30. Ten thirty. I haven't gone to bed that early in about 3 years. No joke. Ryan called me around 12:45, which woke me up, and I haven't been able to fall asleep since then. Too hot, too restless, can't sleep. Most of my headache's dissapated, but I still really really want to sleep. And I can't. Grahr.
I really loathe sleepless summer nights when no one else is up :(
