Ninja Love

I ended up picking this Gree game up since the app had suggestions for other games as I played Be My Princess. I found the art rather interesting so I checked it out, found out that it was another otome; so figured why the hell not.

In this game you play as a derpy priestess. Well only slightly derpy I suppose. She does have the usual heroine cliches like; useless and can't protect herself; clumsy as hell; special for no real reason. At least that last part is explained though.

So I'm not sure if this is based off of any kind of old history or fairytale; but pretty much the ninja clans are being wiped out by a samurai overlord. With that being said, the ninjas are uniting into one force to fight back. To do this they made a neutral leader to follow behind. One not from any of the clans.

This is of course is where you come in. You are entitled with the role as the ninja princess! So you are forced away from your comfortable life as a shrine maiden and are forced into this bloody war of ninjas vs pirates wait I mean samurai.

After the brief explanation of what's going on and who the initial four guys are; you're able to pick your personal bodyguard! Oh my. There are seven men to pick from but only four are open to play at the start. Others needing to be unlocked either through cash or playing the initial four guys. With this said; you can pick, Saizo, Goemon, Sasuke, Kotaro, Musashi, Munenori, and finally Rennoshin.

So not only do you get more choices in the long run, you also get to go after your mans way faster too. Hell six days in I'm already on chapter 6 with Sasuke!

One thing I like is that even though energy can take 4-5 hours to heal 1 point; that they make up for it with yummy rice balls. With eating rice balls you can get your energy back instantly. Well at least one point. And they can be bought with in game money too. So it may take longer but you can just be cheap and not pay to regain your energy with food.

You also are given prizes for signing into the game for multiple days in a row. These could be rice balls, love potions, or in game money. So needless to say they are way nicer about keeping you around over hey gimmie money.

With that being said you don't need to worry about any extra or stupid shit with this game. You don't need to worry about what you're wearing and being the best little princess at the ball. Nope, you just chase after hot ninjas as they stab shit. So much easier and less frustrating.

The only real thing I found cash useful for (other then unlocking characters) is that once you complete a chapter, you can buy it. Allowing you to reread through the story without the use of your strength. I'm not sure if this allows for different endings. I'll just have to wait and see.

On that note you can also buy the pictures if you happen to miss them. Something I sadly did with the first screen for Sasuke. Since they don't really point out that to keep the picture accessible you need to 'save' it after the chapter it was in. Pretty much I was supposed to scroll down and click save and didn't. Though this can be tricky since I know sometimes for me the game will just click through the end of chapter menu which means you would miss the picture. Hooray.

Needless to say I find myself more interested in this Gree game. It simply seems more fair so to speak. There aren't a bunch of vague stats to worry about or a dress up mini game. Just you and a dude, with a love gauge between you.
