So here we have the newest game made by the Voltage company. Actually I'm not sure if this is a remake of some kind or not! I dabbled into some of the Japanese games when I initially found the company. I swear these princes were used before. Or perhaps that's just me.
Neither the less, the story for this one is about a young aspiring designer. I say aspiring because the poor soul hasn't managed to get a job in her desired field. This is something I could sympathize with really. It seems like a common story now a days. People who work through college and can't find work on the path of their dreams. It's sad but something I could easily connect to.
Needless to say I found myself instantly liking the female character. She was down in the dumps recently due to being rejected by most of the design firms; but it was still holding a thread of hope. This hope was the 'dream firm'. With a popular designer in another country. Finally, you manage to get a job, of course being with the dream firm.
With that you're off to live in the Kingdom of Charles. You start of work right away and are sent to deliver a dress to a high end model. Here you are roped in by the model to be a replacement date for her. This is how you meet Prince Roberto.
Following him into the ball you end up meeting, or rencountering some, the rest of the princes. The available being Glenn, Wilfred, and Keith. Sadly Edward and Joshua are not available currently to play. I would love to try them too. But I suppose I will have to wait.
Then again I haven't even finished the main story yet. So we'll have to wait. Because something is really different about this game. Be My Princess is run through an app called Gree. Like in PureLove, you only get so much energy to use as you read the story. It all works out that unless you pay for more energy, that you get to read five chapters per day.
The other thing that you can do in Be My Princess is improve your heroine. Which is... kind of weird truth be told. There are two ways that you can improve your character. Either through your title or your royal factor. To improve your royal factory you need to go to the royal ball. Not the ball depicted in the story but a side one. With this you use another type of strength to go to. To do well at the ball to get money and royal factory, you'll need charm. This you get from your clothes and furniture.
As for your title, you use gacha points that you gain from harassing other players or from a lucky bonus at the royal ball. I was lucky to start during an event that gave tons of gacha and allowed me to get two better titles. With the gacha you try to get a full collection of items. Each type has Common, Rare, and Premium items. Once you finish one set you get a better title. For example I got the Common and Rare items in the Retro set to get my better titles.
With a higher title you get more royal factor from the ball. As for what exactly royal factor does, I'm not really sure what it does. I think it helps through out the story. Like you'll be able to get more romance points or a better ending. No clue.
If this sounds rather complicated to you, well it is. Even after a few days of playing it I'm still rather confused why they made it so needlessly complicated. If they wanted to make a stat builder; just make a stat builder. Don't make it this ass backwards, vague, idiocy.
I'm probably going to at least play the game through one route, which may take a while. But I'm gonna try. If it's super frustrating and I can't get a good ending; then I'll probably stop there.
