Hit Again

There's nothing quite like starting off the week being forced to contemplate one of the seemingly fundamental laws of the universe.  In this case: Why is my car only hit when it's not moving?

Yes, that's right.  My car was struck while stationary.  Again.

This time it was while I was on my way to work.  I was on the interchange between WA-167 N and I-405 S.  Slowing to a stop because the traffic in front of me had slowed to a stop, I glanced in my rearview mirror in time to notice that the car behind me had elected not to follow that line of reasoning.  It impacted my back right bumper, cut across two lanes of traffic, and sped off.  Lovely.  I think i caught the license plate number, but the cop I gave it to has yet to get back to me.

My car is pretty much fine; the bumper is dented and the tailpipe is bent down.  I am stiff and sore.  I went to the chiropractor after work and she doesn't like the look of my back.  Going back in a week.  We'll see how it is then.
