How much do I love that Sam's 'yessir' choked me up? Beautiful depiction of all three of them. I especially like that Sam and John got to get on here.

Sam and John. Getting along with each other. ♥ Also, love that Dean is the one who insists on Sam finishing school. That whole conversation. (Dean is totally the mom in this family.) And then the chimps with their mothers, and Sam completely missing the significance.

I am interested in Sam's thought process just after the hospital, though. Where he didn't care if anyone found him and didn't call for Dean.

(Also, this makes me wonder if John ever met Jess.)

Dean is TOTALLY THE MOM. And yeah, ugh, Sam doesn't really GET the dead mom thing the way Dean and John do, because he never really had a mom.

John did not meet Jess.

Sam was just feeling so embarrassed and so fragile by the whole incident, and he just wanted to be alone where no one could touch him, really. And he knew Dean would yell (out of worry, absolutely, but still yell) and he just wasn't ready to deal with anyone.

I loved this!

Poor Sam with the reaction and all ready to be alone and the thing with the chimps where he totally missed the point and John with the crying and they didn't fight and... Yeah, I really loved it. I really, really loved John in this. And the conversation he had with Dean was just incredible. Sam never knew Mary, but he had Dean. It's both tragic and lovely.

YES. I love your analyses of my stuff so fucking much.

Sam did not know that John was around. Sam was just ready to curl up and disappear. Dean knew that John would be in the room, yep. And John was deeeefinitely pleased about Sam not asking for Dean.

Nah, he knew he could have Dean and John if he needed them, he just...didn't want anyone just then. He was SO tired and so embarrassed by the whole thing, he just wanted to sleep and not have to talk to anyone. John let him do that, really.

I really like writing John POV, so I'd like to do more of it. And I want to play with his rivalry with Dean, too.
