Update: Japan
So tomorrow, far too early for my liking, I will be on my way to Tokyo.
I am hoping to get several bits of artwork and writing accomplished during my two week stay. Of course, I'll also be doing some sightseeing and also attending the English classes that my best friend teaches as well. It's the rainy season right now over there, so hopefully there will be a few days of sunshine to explore outside attractions.
My flight from Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport to Narita is 13 hours long. I have packed an odd assortment of things to try and pass the time, but I'm pretty sure that it's going to be at least a bit mind-numbing.
The only big outing I and my best friend have planned so far is a trip to Akihabara, which is pretty much the mecca of anime. Just looking at pictures of it is enough to make me spazz.
I hope I don't get hooked on any of the snacks or drinks they have over there, since the Midwest US doesn't have a huge import for it.
