Malachite
I went to a Native American art store today in Stratford and WISHED I had stayed longer. There was so much gorgeous stuff. But I did buy a pair of earrings and a matching necklace. They are done by an artist named Aryn Bowers who works in precious stones and mammoth ivory. The set I bought is made with malachite.
I've associated malachite with Quetzalcoatl because that was what His skin reminded me of when He first came to me. He had a malachite egg and a piece of polished malachite on my altar. While I may not exclusively use the mammoth ivory jewellery for ritual, when I found out the green stone was malachite, I knew I had to have it.
Malachite is a soothing stone that helps protect against negativity. It draws out impurities and helps with all mental health issues. One of it's Zodiac affinities is with Scorpio. It's also very good for health issues relating to the digestive or reproductive systems.
