Have not updated my journal for a long time.
Before the year end, I should take some notes.
1. Lost Love in Times turns out to be a total disappointment.
What a terrible waste of so many talents, so much money, and so many pretty faces!
It is a concentrated view of the absurdity in our entertainment industry. A gigantic investment is dragged down the hole due to greed and incapability. The producer Tang Lijun and script writer Rao Jun should be banished from practice for ruining so many IP's.
2. Today Haiqiao has returned to his university, Shanghai Theatre Academy, to celebrate with his classmates and professors for the 10th anniversary of graduation.
He glittered like a child while posing with his classmates and teachers. These 10 years have not been easy for him, nor for his classmates. I would not have recognized few of them if I had not been following Haiqiao's career. But he is joyful and youthful in the pictures, and even wrapping his shoulders around the neck of his teacher.
The up and downs, the aspirations and the disappointments, sometimes so close to success while sometimes hopeless...My Haiqiao manages to stay stubbornly in the boat.
2017 has not been an easy year for him, and I think that it will not be easier for him ahead. After all, it is fate making the call.
I think that I will stay with him and accompany him in the boat.
3. The detective series Day & Night, actually White Night Pursuit might be a better translation, is acquired by Netflix to release in the global market.
The series has been a huge success in China as soon as it is released in August 2017. My father and I have followed the series, and he sometimes still asks me when the subsequent episodes will be on. So I am telling him that it is going to be a new season, and they are filming it right now.
The series is very professionally filmed, and with lots of details interconnected. The police inside is on the go day and night, and the cases is one after another one to push the plots and relationships between characters to move on. Sometimes it chases so fast that you will feel breathless.
The 3 male leads are all impeccable. I have counted 3, because Pan Yueming played twin brothers.
I also love the theme song very much.
