US Open: Kim Clijsters passed Venus Williams to make it into the final. Whoever won that match was going to be my choice for winning the whole thing, so GO MISS KIMMIE! Venus did not play her best (she needed to stop hesitating to see if a ball was going to go out before setting herself up to hit it. Be ready to hit the ball anyway, then no matter what happens, you're covered. Someone else kept doing this and driving me nuts, too, but I suppose it's better I can't remember who. It was probably several players), but Kim was consistent as always. Men's semifinals tomorrow! Vamos Roger y Rafa!

Whoops. AMC accidentally posts the Inside Mad Men & episode 4x08 recap videos (this Sunday's episode)! Matthew Weiner is going to be very unhappy about that.

Fringe season 3 preview.

Extended promo for Vampire Diaries 2x02.

Heroes won't be wrapped up in a TV movie. Ah well, it went downhill after that great first season, anyway. And at least Sendhil has a nice new gig. Look at him in the promo for next week's Covert Affairs finale! And look at this promo pic! ZQ's got Star Trek, but I really hope Adrian Pasdar and Jack Coleman find some other great projects, and not just guest-starring.

Glee guest-starring news.

Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Ben Affleck & Chris Cooper at the photo-op/press conference for The Town, wherein Affleck snuggles up to Hamm and whispers sweet nothings to Jeremy.

I finally watched the last two episodes of Rubicon, so I'm all caught up. OMG WILL TRAVERS CAN YOU BE ANY WORSE AT COVERT OPS?! Kale, please throw him out the window. When the polygraphers asked Kale if he knew anyone on his team who would be capable of covert ops, he could honestly say no because Will certainly isn't capable. He's so careless and hapless, and he needs to take a page out of Kale's Handbook for Cool Former Assassins. I know Will's new at this sort of thing, but these people play for keeps, they kill people.

Kale Ingram is the highlight of this show, though. And the episode from two weeks ago contained a pleasant surprise. Kale is gay (I suspected something when he went to lunch with Bloom, but dismissed it as my slash goggles talking) and apparently in a more stable, happy relationship than any of his co-workers. I don't care if he's just stringing Will along or not. He's grey and awesome.

Is Will's neighbor spying on him, too, you reckon?

Fellowship of the Ring is on TNT now, but I think I'm too tired to even make it to Rivendell. :-(
