US Open: YAY MISS KIMMIE! Boo, Djokovic took my Nadal-Federer final from me! But at least even after the final was postponed due to rain on Sunday (Martha Stewart, who was in a box with Liv Tyler and others, tweeted a picture of the slick court, and Robert Redford was chillin' in his box with a glass of red wine) then delayed for a few hours on Monday, Rafa was able to clinch his first US Open title! \o/

Janelle Monae looking dapper. It always amuses me how much she looks like my cousin of the same name.

The other day, my mom and I were watching Ocean's Eleven. I never realized the club where Rusty taught the Teen Beat coverboys how to play cards was the same one that burnt down a few years ago (Basque, formerly known as Deep). I know little of the L.A. club scene, but my brother and his friends celebrated his birthday there the winter before it was destroyed. :-\

I also did not realize that Talulah Riley, who played the blonde Eames forged in Inception, was Mary Bennet in the 2005 Pride & Prejudice film! She has an interest in physics and quantum science and is going to marry the co-founder of PayPal & Tesla Motors.

Castle scoop. Could Alexander Skarsgard one day guest star? And look at this cast promo pic! So glitz & glam.

Ben McKenzie & Michael Cudlitz looking adorbs together.

Christina Hendricks mood theme!

Chris Pine with Rosario Dawson at the VMAs.

Fabulous vintage-style posters for Boardwalk Empire.

Scans of Boris Kodjoe & Gugu Mbatha-Raw of Undercovers in Entertainment Weekly.

So, apparently Shane West and Ashton Holmes, who both have roles in Nikita now, were in a film together. Start watching about halfway through this section of the film What We Do is Secret, and you'll see Shane try to kiss Ashton. ^_^ At least that makes Shane West a tiny bit more interesting. He's still the poor man's Jeremy Renner/Timothy Olyphant, though. ;-)

The TIE Fighter Pilot Who Saved the Day in Star Wars. All the bazillion times I've seen ANH, and I've never noticed this.

Kevin McCarthy, who is probably best known to the wide world from Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but best known to me as the bad guy from UHF, passed away. Didn't he go out with Montgomery Clift for awhile?

Harold Gould, who played my favorite character in The Sting (Kid Twist!) passed away, as well. :-( :-( :-(

And great thanks to kelbebop for linking to Lin-Manuel Miranda's wedding surprise for his Vanessa. The wedding party performed "L'Chaim" from Fiddler on the Roof!
