US Open: Stan the Man is out, though that wasn't unexpected. He started off very strong, but then his legs started bothering him and in the end, he was beating himself. :-\ Still, it was a great run! Apparently Rafa's been working on one of the three things my mother and I thought he should fix: his serve! The change is doing him well. Hopefully he'll also see the positives in learning a one-handed backhand (which would help him a lot on a court as fast as that at the US Open) and coming up to the net more often to volley (though I've said before that's an improvement I think a lot of players nowadays would be wise to make). Randomly, I think Verdasco's longer hair is bad luck for him. It's always amusing to listen to the McEnroe brothers calling matches together. Sometimes it's hard to tell who is doing play-by-play and who is doing the color commentary.
Also, Sendhil Ramamurthy must be a fan of Rafa Nadal's because I saw him again at tonight's match, this time sitting in the first ten rows.
My Little Inception Ponies by
aredblush. OMG CUTE.
Christina Hendricks has been recently been cast in a few big screen films! I hope she shares some screentime with the lovely Carey Mulligan in Drive.
Long and interesting interview with Zac Efron.
Diane Farr is writing and producing a TV project.
Ian Somerhalder talks about Damon in season 2 of Vampire Diaries. Q: I think Matt Davis might be clinically insane, tweeting under a pen name, but fans are loving the back and forth you guys have on Twitter. Ian: What is so amazing is, if in fact he is clinically insane, it is such a beautiful thing. I love that man. We totally have a bromance.
And
Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec also talks about what to expect in season 2.
I made sure to take a nap early this evening so I could be awake and alert for TVD. ;-P And boy am I glad I did because the show remains fast-paced and CRAZY and CRAZY AWESOME.
Katherine and Stefan were MY FAVORITES in this episode. I know just about everyone prefers bad boy Damon, but Stefan was rockin' tonight. And Elena approving of his threatening her father? ::thumbs up:: Katherine was strutting around, breakin' hearts, and being naughty. Nina Dobrev must be having a ball playing her.

And if she gets annoyed with you, she'll just impale you or smother you with a pillow.

I ♥ her. I'm also glad they didn't leave the characters in the dark too long about the fact that Katherine was around creating mischief. Damon figured it out ten minutes into the new season, Stefan knew immediately, and Bonnie just had to touch her.
Also, Bonnie was clever and resourceful (loved her threatening banter with Damon), I missed Alaric, Tyler has a new mentor, and Caroline is the new vampire the spoilers were talking about! Poor Matt's the only one left in the dark when it comes to the supernatural. :-\
At the end of last season, I pondered the possibility of Jeremy FAILING at killing himself, and that's precisely what he did! Oh Jeremy. But we had a nice Jeremy/Tyler scene. \o/ Before he got his neck broke. /o\ But he was only mostly dead. Elena had Damon pegged exactly. He gets hurt, so he lashes out. And boy did he. It's okay, Damon. Alaric will kiss it better.
One thing I didn't love was the unsubtle use of music in this episode. Hopefully they'll tone it down a bit.
Two things about Nikita
1. I wasn't on board until the end when I went OOOOOOOOOOO NIIIIIIIIIICE and they successfully hooked me. Was not expecting new girl to be Nikita's mole, but I like it!
2. Shane West. ::sigh:: He's just so uninteresting.
