In another great match, Stan the Man beat Querrey to advance to the quarterfinals at the US Open! Querrey was the last American standing on the men's side and I like him, but I just like Stan a bit better. ;-) He'll probably lose to Youzhny in his next match, though. Poor Rafa is going to have to play two countrymen in a row in order to get to the semis. I also wish Venus and Kim weren't on the same side of the draw. I'd rather they met in the final.

More craziness at the Vuelta a España. Saxo Bank booted team members Andy Schleck and Stuart O'Grady out of the race because they went against team rules by going to a bar and having alcohol outside of the allowed glass of wine at dinner. :-\

Racebending.com looks at the diversity in some highly-anticipated new fall shows.

Someone at ONTD made a Boris Kodjoe post with video interviews and promo pics from Resident Evil and Undercovers. HOW SO GORGEOUS BORIS & GUGU?!

Sneak peek of "Olivia," the season premiere of Fringe!

Amusing guest casting for an upcoming episode of Psych.

midnight_road posted a picspam of the summer finale of Burn Notice. CLIFFHANGER!

xkcd wedding cake!

It's a shame Pixar's Newt was shelved (look at the lovely concept art), but better that Brave (formerly The Bear and the Bow; the Toy Story 3 director talks about Brenda Chapman, Brave's director, near the end of this interview). I can't wait for 2012 and Pixar's first princess movie!

While browsing YouTube for Disney park related music, I stumbled upon this great video about the horses of King Arthur Carrousel at Disneyland. They even speak specifically about my favorite horse, Jingles! While waiting in line for the carrousel as a child, if Jingles didn't stop where I could see, I would estimate where she was, so I could run straight to her. I once had to stare down another girl who thought she could ride Jingles even though I clearly got there first and had my hand on her. Find another horse, girlie! Jingles was mine!

Amy Poehler will host an episode of SNL this season. I wonder how even more unfunny the new season will be with all the casting changes.

Niecy Nash is getting hitched!

Liam Neeson joins the cast of Battleship. The more I hear about this movie, the more I LOL. In fact, I'm still LOLing at the fact that they're turning the game into a movie. I'll probably just see it for ASkars.

Otho from Beetlejuice died.

Don Dortort, creator of Bonanza and High Chapparal, also passed away. I grew up watching both shows. :-(

So much lovely discussion has been going on around teh internetz about this week's brilliant episode of Mad Men. I particularly liked the A.V. Club's analysis because of the observation that the structure of the episode was like a play. I didn't realize it at the time, but it totally was. Alan Sepinwell's analyses are good, too.
