Good and very bad at the Vuelta a España. Thor won the stage on Thursday and Petacchi on Friday, but while some of Team Sky had to withdraw because of a viral infection,
one of their staff members had contracted a bacterial infection, fell into a coma and died, so the rest of Sky has left the race. :-(
Lots of college football and US Open tennis this weekend, which was exciting. Stan Wawrinka brought a bit of an upset, taking down Andy Murray. What a fabulous match! I was a bit sad for Andy, but this isn't the first time Stan the Man pulled off a big win, and I'm always happy when he does.
And catching up with the last three episodes of Mad Men.

CHRIST ON A CRACKER ROGER! I do understand why Roger felt that way, though. It's still very personal to him, but now it's just business.
They didn't need to know what was inside your presents, Pete. LOL @ Pete attempting to wrestle the Don's present away from the secretary!
OMG Betty, threatening to cut your child's fingers off?! I JUST. But what was Don doing going on a date on the night he has his kids?
They were all so sneaky! I loved it! (gif by

Also loved seeing more of Joan's blue dress and that gorgeous red & brown ensemble. I would like both outfits, thankyouverymuch.

OMG DON YOU ARE SO PATHETIC. I'm glad the Ponds lady was sensible and turned him down. Last week you went out on a date instead of staying with your kids on your weekend with them, but this time you get drunk and forget them entirely. Awesome.
PETE YOU ARE SUCH A CHILD. Trying to exert his authority over Ken. He has no tact.
But I loved how both Roger and Don held Joan's hands under the table at the awards ceremony.

That was LULZY, heartbreaking, frustrating, and amazing. Jon Hamm and Elisabeth Moss need to submit this episode for their Emmy performances. They both ran the full gamut of emotions and it was so so good.
OH CASUAL RACISM NO. So much ::facepalming:: and ::wincing::
Peggy wore a birthday crown! And she was treated rather shoddily by her team. >:-| And at the end of the day, she had a choice to make, and she chose work over her fiance & family. Good riddance to Mark, I say. He didn't know her at all, and I wouldn't have appreciated that sort of surprise, either. For all that I love my family, I like to have some sort of warning about doing anything with anyone. Still, WORST BIRTHDAY EVER. Poor Peggy.
DRUNKEN FIGHT! After last week's episode, I thought, "Don has hit rock bottom. He cannot possibly sink any lower." Well, guess again. :-\ Though this time, he was drinking and working to keep from facing the possibility of having lost Anna.
I still don't ship Don/Peggy, but I heartily approve of BFFness and mutual understanding.
