It's been a while since I professed my lust love of sport bikes and all the fun gear that go along with them. A recent conversation on Twitter brought it back to the forefront and actually has me once more pondering just exactly what bike I want to seriously consider. The 'sport touring' bikes don't do a thing for me in terms of looks and I have never had a desire to own one. If my choice was between a sport touring type bike and a car then I would choose the car. :P

I don't have to have an upright position but I also don't want to feel like I'm laying down over the tank to ride either. I know it is a hard combination to find. That's why I'm taking my time and getting a lot of input before I shell out something on the order of 5-12k on one.

You have to realize, this all started with me picking a Ninja 250 and all my friends saying how unhappy I would be with it. A work in progress if you will on settling on just the right type for me. :D

After doing a little reading I am really warming up to the idea of a VRF\Interceptor. The only thing that concerns me so far is the weight difference. It is at least 100 pounds heavier than the other bikes I have looked at. Not sure how I feel about that yet.

I can safely say that the pictures I have seen of the 2010 version are not attractive. Looks like they did a major revision.

At any rate, I'm not buying one this afternoon. When? Unknown at this time. However, with me paying off all the vehicles the target just became a lot closer and I would be surprised if I don't have something by this time next year.
