Big Facebook Business
I don't know enough of the details behind the new incarnation of facebook's data collection and distribution system to say whether or not this article is alarmist, but it certainly gives me pause:

Certainly it seems facebook has moved well beyond my comfort zone, I'm releived that I decided not to join in the end. Those of you who are using and enjoying the system should know the consequences and make a reasoned decision for yourselves.
I seem to have caught a cold, but I can write that not worrying about getting a bunch of cold remedy ads, which is nice, because I think I'll recover much faster wrapped in a warm, comfortable blanket of anonymity.
