Want to stand in the Shade?
This is against my better judgement but I'm going to break the fourth wall to let people know about plans of mine.
As I will be back in my hometown from Oct 26th to 31st, which is a short albeit non-zero amount of time, I've been worrying about how to get around to see all the people I'd like to see. As things stand now, there are two options that I intend to exercise.
1. Open house chez moi on Saturday the 27th
2. Going out on the evening of the 31st
I'll describe the latter first: If there are house parties or trips out to bars for Hallowe'en being planned, I would very much like to tag along, join up. In my fantasy I wander from bar to bar and house party to house party until I drag my hungover carcass to the airport for my 7h50 flight the next morning. I would probably be just as happy hanging out with a group of people of half-friends, half-people I don't know yet.
The only thing that could trump these would be a chance to go to an RHPS show... (I just realized that is like saying PIN number...) Any and all info on these fronts would be appreciated.
As for the open house the plan is to open the doors to friends relatively early on the Saturday (say 17h00-ish?) and then leave them that way. People can come whenever and leave whenever. Hell, they can come twice if they like. This well run down whenever I get tired, and considering I'll be on Japan time, that pretty much means I'll have just woken up when it starts. I don't feel right giving out location details online but comment here and I'm sure we can find a way of communicating them to interested real-life people. It is an open house though, so all people who want to see me are all welcome... I expect like three and half people. Tops.
So there is the skinny, hopefully things will work out so that I'll be able to see everyone I can and a few more people besides.
