So, it's April again. Everywhere I look there is something about Autism. That's not a bad thing. With diagnostic numbers on the rise (again), there's a big push in getting information out there. Just got back from CrazyHorse's doctor's appointment... apparently, this round of meds actually is doing its job!! No wheezing to be heard! I still have to call back tomorrow to get a referral for an allergist - now that we have it under control, the next step is trying to find the cause. We'll just run down through the list until we understand it ( Read more... )

Took CrazyHorse back to the doctor's on Tuesday - the singulair *is* helping - but it's not doing enough. He's still wheezing. It's faint but the fact that its still there - is really not good. Tired but home. Crazyhorse will be home soon - I took the night shift at the hospital last night. Kid didn't sleep well at all - but then, he had someone waking him up every three hours to do a breathing treatment too. When he comes home, he'll have a nebulizer, several meds, and a better antibiotic. I'm thinking there's probably no school again ( Read more... )

Well, the albutirol wasn't working very well so the doctor decided to admit him this morning. Hubster took him and we'll probably do shifts. Hopefully they'll find something that works for him and send him home tomorrow with a nebulizer or something. I don't care what so long as it works and I can get my baby better.

This totally sucks.

Don't get me wrong - I love my kids every day but this week they've been especially cute and very sweet. Monday - Neil Patrick Harris was on Sesame Street (which we watch for the youngest) and my oldest (8) runs to get me out of the kitchen to tell me that Sesame Street stole Dr. Horrible and turned him into a shoe fairy. So - it looks like we're going to be changing more than just our light bulbs and cleaning supplies. A whole food diet will be a hard transition and one I'm not going to chronicle on the LJ as I really wouldn't want to clutter my flists with all the grousing and complaining that is sure to follow.
