Car woes...
I just heard back from the shop. Argh. About $700 before taxes and labour and such.
$176.00 for the ball joint
$100 for a wheel alignment
$250 LHS cv shaft
$152 LHS inner tire rod end
Those are the things that must be done to get the car safely on the road again. There is about $900 in important but not life threatening recommended, with front brakes at the top of the list.
I had a mental limit of $500 and this is above it. I simply do not have the money for this. I am trying to decide if it would be worth it to cash out some of my RSPs to pay off a couple out standing, high interest bills and fix the car. Feh.
Must remember while I whine and complain that I am still alive, I did not kill my friend, and thank god it didn't blow while I was driving down the highway with my kids in the car.
