Here's a progress shot of the fascinator - stage 1. I covered the base with overlapped leaves, and will add a paper fan & lots of flowers. It's asymetric on the head, which I want. I'm going to cover the satin headband with hot pink ribbon that tones with the kimono top. There are glimpses of the bound edge of the base in the photos, though I'm hoping that it's not so obvious in real life. Once the fan and flowers are added, they'll distract even more. Thinking of putting some of the rosebuds around the base at the back too.
