a lost weekend :-/
Miracles do happen, I made it to the post office before it closed at 5pm on Friday, despite only getting on a bus at Martin Place at 4.44pm. In fact I got there at 4.57pm, and quite frankly that's almost unbelievable. I was very very keen to get there by Friday as I had a parcel notice for JubJub on Monday, and it's a week to collect. I didn't get there in time on Wednesday :-/ so I was going to have to be late for work on Monday to make sure that I collected it.
Here he is with my coffee mug :-) I don't think I'll turn him into a hand bag right now, my head has hurt for too many days and I'm worried about making a big mistake.
Friday night i fell asleep while trying to finish a Pratchett book .... at about 6pm! I hadn't had dinner and although I woke up at 9.30pm, all i did was turn off the tv (used as white noise) and the lights & went back to bed. Slept till 7am \o/
Still had a skull crushing headache ... the not-a migraine result that had been around since Wednesday. As someone said at least I missed the main event (migraine).
So yesterday all I did was take strong painkillers, rest, do multiple loads of laundry. There was a large pile of fabric & a couple of costumes not packed into tubs in the grotto that had a slightly musty smell after the weeks and weeks of rain we had over summer. i wanted to wash it all before it got packed away but it hasn't been dry enough for me to wash it & hang it out. :rollseyes: The advance weather forecast was warmish, windy, overcast but very unlikely to rain. Perfect laundry weather, and so it proved to be. i got 4 loads of fabric/costumes washed and dried plus 3 loads of clothing/sheets/towels. I wasn't hungry until about 5pm, so I shouldn't have been suprised to have massively swollen glands by evening.
The good news in the grotto is that I now have 4 empty tubs (2x 50litre and 2x 40 litre) and still space in the cupboard. I've got 2x mohair lap blankets to wash & pack away and there should still be space on the small top shelf for some embroidered table cloths etc that are in one of the tubs somewhere. Hmmm should make a move to wash & dry the the mohair blanket that I know the location of.
