Tron: Legacy preview; and stalker re-appears
Yesterday was a mix of highs & lows. The high included getting a ticket to the Tron: Legacy preview which I very nearly didn't use. Thank you www.supanova.com.au for the giveaway. Yesterday I was more tired from the late night read-a-thon than the day before when I was running on only 3 hours sleep. Plus I still had done no actually sewing of the costume. eep, so I phoned chastangela to see if she'd want the tickets. Only to find out she already had her own tix from another source, so going with a friend seemed like a much more enticing prospect, and I did a 180 and hopped on the train. She's already written far more eloquently than myself so here's linkage. Although we only saw part scenes without finished sounds (but finished soundtrack by Daft Punk) but I was completely engrossed in the story. There are shoes I'd loooove to have, along with the costume they went with. But I wouldn't just need to lose *cough* kilos, I'd need to lose 15-20 years. I know what I'll be doing on 16th December and that's not going to an early session (dodge the kiddies time).
I was looking for a soft toy lizard for my costume - I want to convert it to a handbag & it's character related. I thought of it too late as I didn't have the disposable income until payday. Actually even that wouldn't have mattered as there's no guarantee it would have arrived in the post by today. The place I found online said they shipped up to 2 days after ordering. I was going to go to the shop of a wildlife place in Darling Harbour cos someone at work said they thought they saw a couple there a week or two ago (very vague isn't it). Tried phoning but couldn't get to speak to a human (and my call wasn't returned). So I tried Toys-R-Us as soon as I got of the train. Not a lizard in sight - of the large soft toy variety. But I did get a 10" (25cm) plushie of B.O.B. from Monsters V Aliens. It was marked down from $19.99 to $4.94, and cos there was a further sale for 4 days, it got discounted down to $3.95. Score! There was only a couple left, and I chose the one that didn't have his eye rolled back experiencing The Rapture.

Next came the Low.
I got off the train at my usual stop and went to wait for the bus home. Just missed one so it was about a 10 -15 minute wait. My bus was late by a couple of minutes & at the time I should have been getting on the bus my old stalker walks up & says "how are you?". Fortunately I was swapping texts with a friend so I gave him the Blank Wall of Invisibility and kept on texting. He went away and instead of leaping into a taxi, I got the first bus that turned up going anywhere and then changed bus a couple of stops later.
It's not the first time I've seen him since he finally stopped stalking, but it's the first time he's recognised me. Last year I was coming home from Supanova and saw him at the same train station (which is where we met :rollseyes), and I put on my big girl pants and just walked right past him. Counting on my wig & costume to render me invisible, and they did. I'm going to change which station I get out at when catching a train ... unless I'm in a wig & costume. It's annoying cos it means changing trains, taking longer and being a hassle, but I'd rather that than have him approach me.
And is it bad that I've wondered if I can do B.O.B for a cosplay?? Did I ever mention that I'm costume impressionable
