Project Completion: Brown and plaid JSK that ended up being brown and green floral

Project Title: Brown and green floral JSK (originally meant to be brown and plaid, registration here)
Project Start Date: End of June 2014
Planned Finish Date: End of July 2014
Actual Finished Date: January 9 2015
Did you make any changes? Changes? Did I ever... I didn't have enough of the plaid fabric left to make a skirt, so I made a brown and pink tiered skirt. But I got the measurements wrong, so I had to remove that skirt. Then the lonely bodice sat around for ages until I found a fabric I liked to make a new skirt from.
Did you discover something you would like to share? Not really, but it reinforced the fact that I need to be more patient with sewing. Also, I really, really, really need to get a zipper foot for my machine becuase putting the zip in by hand was annoying and I didn't do a very good job of it.
How happy are you with the results?: Probably only 50% happy. It's a decent looking dress but there are flaws, and ultimately it's not exactly to my tastes as well. I'm proud of the fact that I finished it but it's far from perfect. However, it was a learning experience and I'm glad I got to try out the bodice pattern and it's definitely one I'll use again, hopefully with better results next time!
