So I've always known that when I get stressed out, I retreat into things of comfort and shirk my responsibilities. The end of last week confirmed that, when things got stressful because of some upcoming new rules at the company for which I do online transcription regarding ID requirements, and trying to search how to get new ID, and following what became a 2K+ forum post on the topic as all the members chimed in with their (also worried) two cents and blah blah blah.

For me, comfort behaviour is diving into watching old episodes of TV shows. It used to be Survivor. Currently, it's The Challenge. So yeah, I spent about two days not working much but instead mainlining an entire season. BUT during that time I still kept up on my journaling and most of my "habit tracking", just not the house cleaning. *glances at carpets* Ugh.

Speaking of, Are there any fans of The Challenge on my flist? I started watching it at the beginning of the season that just aired (Season 35) because Jay from Survivor was going to be on it. Then I went back and watched all the seasons that are available in Canada (currently Seasons 19 through 35) and got completely addicted.

It's often such a trainwreck drama-wise but maaaaaaan, the actual challenges are hard and scary. My favourite male competitor is Jordan, by far. He's soooo good at everything, despite only having one hand. He's amazing. And my favourite female competitor is his girlfriend, Tori. She's incredible as well. I also adore CT and I have to admit that I like Johnny Bananas even with all his shadiness. I cannot stand Cara Maria and Paulie. UGH UGH UGH.
