Severina Does An Update

Hey all. Never expected to go this long between posts again.

Thank you to everyone for the lovely birthday wishes. I hope I responded to every one. :) Thanks also to shadownyc, friday82, landlady_4rent and fansee for the gifts on my User Page, and to jule1122 and spike7451 for the birthday cards. Each and every one of you rocks.

Since I have to sleep during the day, my sister Margie invited me to her place for dinner yesterday. Her husband Dan made my favourite meal -- cabbage, mashed potatoes, and mince (aka hamburger hash, aka "meat that goes on top of your potatoes" -- that's what I called it as a kid. Hee!) My other sister Helen showed up, and Krystle came too, and I got presents! Scratch tickets, a gift certificate to Penningtons, and some books. I also got a cake!! I was totally surprised. It was a really nice day.

I wish I could say that I've been super busy these past few weeks, but not-so-much. I watched S8 of SVU (OMG SO GOOD) and complained that S9 isn't out yet. (BTW, Alex Cabot comes back to SVU starting tomorrow night for a 6-ep arc. Wheeee! I totally have a girl crush on Alex, can't lie.) I've been scrapbooking last years trips. I rewatched S2, S3, and S4 of Oz while scrapbooking (this way, I can ignore the Miguel parts and a bunch of the Adebisi parts and only pay attention when someone of interest is on the screen.) I've read lots of books. I've learned how to do those sudoku puzzles and have torn much hair out. I have stayed firm on my goal NOT to watch American Idol this year, but I am watching The Amazing Race and am kind of sick of the whole "look, a deaf person can do whatever a hearing person can do" schtick. Coz really? Not a surprise.

This morning when I got off work it was -25 with the wind chill. I AM SO TIRED OF WINTER.

Off to do dishes now. Oh, the exciting life I lead.
