nicholas sparks: sausage goblin

Apr 06, 2010 14:08

since joss whedon will forever own the official title of cocksucker.

nicholas sparks is the jackoff who "wrote" the "books" the notebook, a walk to remember, dear john, etc. he also has uve boll's problem of having delusions of adequacy. like so: "There are no authors in my genre. No one is doing what I do."

i would submit that there is no shortage of people writing shitty novels, people writing shitty love tragedy stories, or pretentious ass bandits.
also, if your books have the formula of "two assholes fall in love despite their family protesting, then someone gets cancer and dies" you do not get to talk shit about cormac mccarthy.
cormac mccarthy wrote no country for old men, blood meridian, and the crossing. oh gee, let's be lazy about this and just see what wikipedia says about these (and just these. the man has about a half dozen more novels) books:
"It is noted for being a more melancholic novel than the first of the trilogy, without returning to the hellish bleakness of McCarthy's early novels."
"Although the novel initially earned lukewarm critical and commercial reception, it has since become widely recognized not only as McCarthy's masterpiece, but also as one of the acclaimed American novels of the 20th century"
"The book was adapted into the 2007 film No Country for Old Men, which won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture."
"William J. Cobb, in a review published in the Houston Chronicle (July 15, 2005), characterizes McCarthy as 'our greatest living writer'"

one day, when i am emperor, nicholas sparks will be thrown into the scorpion pit, and i will commission chuck palahniuk to write a short story about it.
