i like that this story keeps getting "better". yeah yeah, huffington post link, ignore the source.
short version: lesbian girl from mississippi wants to take her girlfriend to prom, school officials freak the fuck out and cancel the event. she sues for the ability to go. story starts getting some attention. then, someone came up with the great idea telling her and a couple other students about "the prom", and that they can indeed attend.
except the rest of the school / students were at a different prom, in a different place.
mississippi? the reason the rest of us think you're homophobic retarded hillbilly assholes? it's stuff like this, it really is.
how the hell do you even make that decision? it's not like a shitload of people weren't paying attention; i've seen this in the news for a while now. "oh, maybe people won't realize we're throwing two proms so we don't have any faggots or retards at the real one." fuckers, you have to invite more than 8 people to an event to make it seem like it just might be real. if i go to a bad religion show and see 4 people there, and then 5 random assholes in jeans show up on stage and start playing 'smells like teen spirit', i'm going to fire bomb the fucking venue and i've seen b.r. in concert a couple times already. that's not even nearly as shifty as this nonsense, senior prom being something of a big, one time deal, type thing to high school kids. so i'm told.
in such a wealth of information why are you so poor?
