I can almost never be up and dressed when the nice delivery people arrive. Sleeping this morning, hear a knock on the door. Was going to ignore it, since it was probably Jehovah's Witnesses and while the ones who mission around here are pretty cute, I didn't want to get up to discuss religion.
Then I remembered that Steve was waiting on his goodies from HaloFest to arrive. (He didn't have space or want to take them on the plane.) So I got up, tossed on some clothes and ran my hands through my hair to give it some pretense of being combed. I didn't want the delivery guy to get away, if he hadn't already gone.
Got up, went to the front door. The DHL truck is in the driveway, but there's no DHL driver. It took Morning Brain a moment to remember that DHL insists on trying to deliver to the back door. You know, the one we don't use. So, barefoot and wearing my yoga capris and one of Steve's t-shirts I walk across the cold damp pavement to grab the delivery guy before he leaves. Oh, and did I mention it's misting heavily?
I successfully intercepted the DHL driver, signed for and got Steve's posters. So despite everything, I've saved him a trip to the DHL depot in 3 days time. (They will come when no one's home - I took a vacation day today so it was an exception - and will NOT reroute anything to a different address.) He'd best appreciate me being woken, startled, rained on, cold and uncomfortable to do it. (Of course he will. He's a sweetheart, even if he does annoy me beyond the expressing of it at times.)
Then, because Morning Brain was apparently still not functioning, I decided to watch 'Blink' while I was alone in the house. We have no statues, but...the action figures ARE too small to be quantum-locked creatures, right?
Right?
