Questions for the ages
About Tupperware. Well, not actual Tupperware, but I can't be bothered to type out 'plastic food storage containers' every time. You start out with a full set, then they gradually disappear one by one. Only, they haven't been thrown away, because you still have all the lids. Lids that will not, of course, fit any of the containers that are left. Possibly they never fit any of the containers you had to begin with, because they don't look familiar. There's no point thinking you have extras, either, since not only do they not fit anything you still have, you'll never find containers to match them for sale anywhere.
If I found them in the dryer, I'd swear they were sent in trade for the socks that go missing. (They're always left socks. It's true.)
So where do the containers go? And why? And why don't they take the lids with them?
This had better not be one of those 'go mad from the revelation' things either, because I really want to know.
