A SONG. NO, I AM NOT KIDDING
hey guys! long time no post. life is weird and i am too, sorry!
but onto the main point of this (and yes, it exists) -
over at capslock_merlin , a ridiculously awesome community you should all be part of, derryere posted a beautiful ode to bradley james. (i would link, but it is members-locked! so go join!) i, being a crazy person, mentioned how i wanted to write a song abot rps called "i'm going to hell but i don't care." and then i DID.
here are the lyrics, ohmygod:
i'm going to hell
but i don't ca-are
'cause colin and brad
answer my prayers
rps is bad
but how can i resist?
those pretty boys
really should have kissed
it's not my fault
the diaries were too great
spiders in tubs
it clearly is just fate
so, as you can see, they are RIDICULOUS. i want to have this be somehow recorded, but unfortunately, i fail at composing, playing any sort of musical instrument, or singing. i fail quite badly, in fact.
my challenge to you all: USE YOUR AMAZING MUSICAL SKILLZ (I KNOW YOU HAVE THEM) TO RECORD THIS SONG. there are three rules:
-please comment to tell me you are doing that
-crediting lyrics would be super awesome, though of course you can change them a bit to fit the song
-post it on
capslock_merlin , please!
i sort of have a tune in mind, and if you want to hear it, just ask! i'll record it and post here (will be flocked though.) new tunes are awesome too though :)
onto the weird technical details (though warning, i FAIL at those):
-if you have a mac, there is usually a mike built it
-if you have a non-mac, you probably will need to get a mike, unfortunately i do not know how or where. sorry!
-once you somehow have a mike, audacity is a really nice audio recording software and you can download it here
-here is a dowloadable guide to audacity, but i am sure there are simpler ones out there. basically, red means record, and yellow makes it stop recording. it's pretty simple for me, and i fail at computers, so i think it'll be okay.
