There's really nothing interesting to report...

I just felt guilty about people reading my blog when it's 13 days old. Although I'm sure they know if something earth-shattering had happened, I would have posted something.

I did get to see my family from New York that I hadn't seen in about 3 years last Sunday. That was great. All of them are learning an instrument or getting vocal training. I swear they're going to be the next Partridge Family.

Thanks to the past two Saturdays, I've been revisiting the guitar that I had ignored for a while, due to the job. I gotta say, it's a good stress reliever, for the most part. And, also, thanks to Jay, I've got ideas for songs floating through the head that could be platinum singles one of these days.

Seriously, who wouldn't want to hear about girl crushes?

I'm thinking I need to get a microphone I can hook up to my computer so I can start recording some tracks. If anything, for posterity. Also, it'd help in creating a voiceover demo.

Of course, if I did voiceovers, how would people find out how pretty I am?

I have to say, the job at Comcast is becoming less of a burr on my ass. My position has begun shifting from sales to retention, which reduces the number of people I have to visit and also reduces the amount of time I spend in the office. And I figure having people yell at me about how Comcast screwed them over is a good skin-thickening exercise for auditions in Chicago when that time rolls around.

Update on Chicago, while I'm at it: Melvin, my college buddy, and his wife have found an apartment. I have to say, looking at the floor plan for a studio in their building, it's one I'm going to have to look into. The Sovereign, the one building I was looking at, does include all utilities in its rent, but I think I'd rather be around people I know than people I don't. Also, for all I know, the Sovereign could be a shooting range.

Also, I'm locking my deadline for moving to April of 2007. I figure, if I set a semi-specific date, that'll solidify the chances of actually following through.

Oh! With the new position at Comcast, I have a greater potential of earning comission (sp?), which will help in the long run.

G'night!
