A common thread among geeks that I hear (if only infrequently) is "Oops, I just typed reboot at the wrong machine by mistake". At this point it's usually irretrievable.

I wonder if it might be a good idea to produce a wrapper around reboot that requires the syntax reboot nodename, and will only reboot if the nodename is correct…
