Daytek!
I had a lot to do today.
Started with a psychiatrist's appointment, which resulted in my Effexor dose being upped from 150 to 225. -_-;; Now I have to go back again in two weeks, and then three weeks after that... I hate psychiatrists. It's nothing personal against them, but they just make me very uncomfortable, stressed, and jittery.
Anyway! After that, Mom and I went to the Chapters, like we always do when we're in Barrie. >^-^;; She bought me some manga to try to cheer me up; volumes 2 & 3 of Instant Teen: Just Add Nuts, 3 & 4 of Crescent Moon and volume 3 of Deus Vitae. I love all those series. ^^ I was hoping to find some volumes of Gravitation or Tsubasa, but they didn't have the ones I was looking for. :P And I'm all caught up on Fruits Basket for now... ahaha... ^^;;
So then after Chapters, we went to the fish store and I got some goldfish for my aquarium, since it was almost empty and bothering me. All but one of my other fish died about a week ago.
Hmm... then we came back home and took Possum to the vet for his booster and some blood work, after which we headed downtown to register him and get his tags. You see, here you are required by law (a city bylaw) to register your dog with the city, and if you don't, they take the dog away and you have to pay a huge ass fine if you want to get it back. =_=;; Argh...
Having dealt with the dog, we skipped off to Walmart so that Mom could buy a bedset for my brother. Both Trunks and I have been using the same blankets for about ten years now, so she's working on getting us outfitted with new stuff. I'm doing okay, and I already feel like I'm taking way too much from her, so I'm trying to talk her out of getting me anything... but at the same time, I found a set that I absolutely adored, when we were looking for Trunks' stuff...
While we were there, I pawed through the discount DVD bins and grabbed three DVDs that Mom was willing to buy for me for about $10; The Blob (remake), Man on the Moon and a box of four "horror classics" that includes Monstrosity, Black Dragons, Night of the Blood Beast and The Devil's Partner. Fun stuff. ^_~
Then, the most important part of the day!
I got... a new computer screen! Since mine finally completely died last night. =_=; It's been very slowly dying since the fall, but it finally kicked the bucket while I was chatting with Cassandra-san last night... I got it to half-work enough this morning to tinker around for a bit, but that's it. So now I have a new, spangly, WORKING MONITER! AHA! X3
Manga, bad movies, and a working computer. Despite the killer heat today, and the stupid psychiatrist appointment, everything worked out pretty good.
