Golfing with NHL'ers
So I won this radio contest last Friday. Right place (my office), right time kind of deal. Didn't really know too much about it at the time. I was told they were going to feed us lucnh and dinner and we would be golfing with an NHL hockey player.
Well...Monday was the day and wow, what a day. I am not a golfer, nor do I pretend to be one. But that didn't really matter as it was a blast. Took Doug, as I figured I owed him for our trip to the gold medal game at the world juniors back in '05. We got paired with Bryan Wyatt from the radio and someother old guy. Then the hockey player "draft" happened. We were last team to "pick" but we got lucky and landed Taylor Pyatt.
Whether it was his public relations face he had on all day or not, he seemed like a really cool guy. He bought round after round after round of drinks. He even seemed disapointed we weren't able to go to the after party...which even if he was faking, was still cool.
All in all best radio contest I have ever won...sure would be nice to win next year.
