The Balaklava scene is done, except for final tweaking. Completely rewrote it last night. Ended up cutting the majority of the facts out, but tried to keep the horror and the sense of futlity - to highlight what would anger teenager of today without making reader switch off in boredom. The research for And Die In Thee has taken me into some dark places, of which the Crimea was the worst. As I feel all the names deserve inclusion somewhere here is the roll call of the British who died on the day.
