YOUR VOTE TOMORROW COUNTS!
Really. It does. This link (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/) shows that McCain is actually up 0.6% today (as of 9:40PM EST). A very SLIGHT margin in NC that can be swayed if every "coulda, shoulda slacker" actually wakes up at a decent hour and casts their vote for the 'O' Man - that means you for those that have yet to vote. In the 2004 election there were more than 30,000 votes that were unaccounted for, lost, or 'accidentally' cast for Bush that cost the election in the state of Florida.

Not to mention the GOP goons are at work fucking with the election again with their slimy maneuvers. This Wired.com blog (http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/11/report-ess-voti.html) shows how some voting machines are casting votes for McCain when Obama was selected! This is real, no conspiracy theory - watch the CNN videos on there which shows you how.

They also are trying to fuck with Florida again by using robocalls (that actually cost McCain the election in 2000) trying to convince voters that they can vote by phone! Wired also covers the article here (http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2008/10/bogus-robocall.html).

POLLING LOCATIONS - FOR YOUR VOTE TO COUNT YOU MUST VOTE AT YOUR ASSIGNED POLLING PRECINCT LOCATION!
Here is a list: http://www.meckboe.org/PollingLocations.aspx
  • Polls are open 6:30AM-7:30PM. If you are in line by 7:30PM, you have the right to vote.
  • THIS IS IMPORTANT YOU MUST VOTE FOR PRESIDENT SEPARATELY AND THEN VOTE STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC PARTY TICKET. IF YOU VOTE ONLY A STRAIGHT TICKET, YOU HAVE NOT VOTED FOR PRESIDENT!!!
  • Bring ONE of the following:
    • Any current and valid photo ID (driver's license, student ID, employee ID or government ID) OR
    • Non-photo ID with a name & address that matches your registration: utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or government document
Barack Obama's background, policies, integrity and record have shown that he is our hope for progress to help the middle class make ends meet by repealing Bush's wealthy tax cuts (that McCain wants to continue), and make health care more affordable for all. He also has plans to take the U.S. out of a $10 billion/month war that accounts for 1/5 of your federal tax dollars in a timely strategy diminishing the majority U.S. forces. Iraq has told us they are prepared and ready for us to leave and for them to lead their own, newly acquisitioned country. His energy policy supports research for green energy programs and to ween off our dependence on foreign oil from dangerous countries and firm our relations with other friendly oil-rich countries right next door such as Mexico and Canada that could account for large portions of oil to cover the gap until we can get affordable, practical green energy.

None of you on this list, none of the people I know - friends, enemies, associates, etc, have a reason to vote for the McCain ticket that supports 95% of Bush's vote. No one needs a continuation of what McCain promises will be more failed Bush economic policy that deteriorate the working class, benefit the rich, and further deregulate a crippled economy. Not to mention roll back civil rights, women's rights, rights to privacy and due process of law. Not to mention McCain's ticking time bomb bill of health that would put the most reactionary, evangelist, ill-informed, inexperienced person closest to the Oval Office, Sarah Palin, in charge of the most powerful country in the world. It's scary. It's scary because it's a very real possibility in how close this election is. It's really scary that the McCain/Palin campaign of fear, lies and distractions has won almost half of the country's minds and votes. DON'T BUY INTO IT. Do your research because they have no reason to tell you the truth - they are clearly out to win an election at this point and nothing else matters.

This is history. Vote Barack Obama and Joe Biden in 2008. I wouldn't send this to you all if I didn't truly feel that this was so important to ourselves, our families, communities and our nation. Barack sums it up succinctly and sweetly right here in this video:
