Okay, I must admit I fretted over today's rec. Xie has given the fandom an epic post-513 series, an amazing surgeon/paramedic AU, many porny standalones, and just as many lovely meaningful oneshots, and I choose to rec...a drabble? Well, yes, yes I do. It's partly because everyone has read Xie's longer stuff but perhaps a few of you have missed this little drabble, and partly because I think a well-written drabble is just as worthy of recognition as a longer story. But mostly it's because I adore these 100 words to a ridiculous degree.
I love that it's a moment of pure, quiet happiness. I love that the silence speaks louder than words. I love that it's hot. And I love that what other writers take words upon paragraphs upon pages to say, Xie says here in eight perfectly crafted sentences.
