(no subject)
So, heres a quick update. The laptop is in the shop. The whole random freezing was getting unbearable. I had to fight with it most of the time just to get it to boot. Turns out it needed a new logic board (see: Apple equivalent to a motherboard). So wonderfull. I actually had to argue with them to fix it. They told me that the clips on the Ethernet port were broken and that they were considering that abuse and as such not covering the repair. $1200 they said. I promptly told them that if it was broken that they sent it to me that way (which is true) and that I never used it. They told me they'd cover it. Unfortunately it had probably already been shipped back to the service center here in MD so chances are they didn't get to it before it got out and I'll have to wait for it to get sent back AGAIN to get it fixed.
I had to buy a new heatsink for my computer I was forced to buy for class. I'm still angry about that. More about that later.
And now my desktop is starting to act weird when it starts sometimes.... wonderful. Eh... ah well.... more later.
