So, first things first. I took the laptop to an Apple Authorized Service Center today. It should be on it's way to Apple tomorrow if it isn't already. Hopefully it's a warrenty covered repair. For those who don't know, over the last month and a half-ish... maybe 2 months I've been having an issue that's been getting progressively worse. When the laptop gets bumped or even moved sometimes it freezes. Not all the time mind you, just sometimes. Some days it works great, others I have to fight with it just to start, much less stay on for 15 minutes. *Sigh* Thats irritation #1.
#2) Dear Prof. Clewell,
FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU YOU FUCKING PRICK!
This dickhead prof is forcing me to buy a POS computer. A computer that I would NEVER EVER build for myself. And one that I'll probably NEVER actually use. Right now I'm thinking about making it a dedicated linux machine. So, this computer, it's costing me something like $622 if I recall the exact price correctly. I priced out the exact same computer online @ newegg and guess what: The exact same parts (although admittedly a nicer case as the one they picked SUX) cost $520 INCLUDING 2ND DAY SHIPPING. If I had it shipped to my house from the prof's "vendor" it would have been 677 according to what the paper he gave us said. Yeah. Fuck that. First off, the "vendor" seems to know Clewell pretty well. Second off I am being FORCED to buy it from this specific vendor. The going theory is that the college doesn't know about this arrangement and the prof is getting some sort of kickback from the $20,000-ish per semester he's sending this vendor's way. I mean, I can't even use my financial aide to pay for it if I wanted to since it's not being done through the school. It's okay though because my mother is rather unhappy about it and is going to be sending a lawyer-type letter to the college. I was just going to ask to speak with the deparment chair or something, but whatever. So, specs on the computer:

Lastly to the asshole that Vanessa had try to hack my LJ and/or computer: FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU AND DIE! You touch my LJ, fine... whatever. Something like that I'd just be tempted to bitch about it a little as long as I got it back. But my computer? She wasn't clear if my computer was a target or not so let me make this perfectly clear: I so much as think I feel a stray electron come near any of my babies and I WILL KILL YOU! HEAR ME! YOU WILL BE DEAD!
Not that I'm even convinced that anyone she knows really knows enough to do much to begin with. LJ hacking is about on the level of a "script kiddie" and I would venture to guess that most of the people she knows wouldn't have the first clue how to break into a linux router. BUUUT I just thought I would make it clear what would happen in the event that someone is stupid.
