Early Morning Trapping

It feels like it is way too early, but I guess that's what happens when you come off working the night shift. All I know is I pulled my share and now it is someone elses turn. I run my fingers through my hair as I stare at the board- wishing I would actually understand everything that is written up there. It's just not sinking in today

"Mornin' sunshine," I yawn over at Mer as I finish throwing my lab coat on and ruffle my hair a bit. "You on call last night?"

[dr_mergrey]

"No, I just came off working nights though," I explain as I grab my coffee.

[dr_omalley]

"Yeah? Never thought I'd say this but I miss working nights," I sigh. "Get all the incomings to yourself, it's quiet. Less drama, more trauma."

[dr_mergrey]

"It just sucks when you switch back."

[dr_omalley]

"Shyeah. I don't know how I'm ever going to date someone other than a doctor. I can't remember the last time I slept normal hours."

[dr_mergrey]

"Is that why we all date each other?"

[dr_omalley]

"I'm assuming," I shrug. "That and we're all crazy. I think crazy attracts crazy."

[dr_mergrey]

"I think we just cracked the entire mystery."

[dr_omalley]

"Well see, us two, are smart and crazy. It's an alarmingly attractive combination," I smirk.

[dr_mergrey]

"A dangerous one too," I add with a smile as I finish my coffee.

[dr_omalley]

"We're basically a couple of James Bonds, you and I."

[dr_mergrey]

"We could conquer the entire world. Or maybe just the hospital."

[dr_omalley]

"Oh the hospital is definitely doable. I'll take care of cardio, trauma and hire Izzie as my number 2 so Peds and OB can be under or control. You've obviously got Neuro and plastics already dominated."

[dr_mergrey]

"I do believe that covers all departments," I chuckle.

[dr_omalley]

"Pretty much. I mean we should probably recruit someone from Ortho. Just to cover all our bases."

[dr_mergrey]

"I guess," I agree.

"But other than that, we're good. I'm sure others would disagree with our plans."
