There's some redheaded, pasty, persistent moron following Addison around and I don't like it. The nurses are saying things. The interns are saying things. I don't like the things that any of them are saying. It doesn't sound anything like what Addison would do. She doesn't just jump from man to man. I know better than that

"Gladys, will you book an OR for 2114? His adenoid's about to blow. Thanks," I smile and glance to my right, noticing Dr. Sloane dressed down. It takes me a moment to remember he's still on leave.

"So the rumors are true," I rest against the counter. "You're really helping out on the burn patient?"

"Yeah, something like that," I comment, looking up at her. "Who is that guy?"

"Who," I look in the direction of his nod, noticing Dr. Hunt and the chief engaged in conversation. "Oh him. He's the new trauma Attending, Doctor Hunt."

[drmcsteamy]

"That's it?"

[dr_isobel_s]

"I don't know him all that well yet. All I know is he served in Iraq, which makes his trauma protocol... different. He's kinda hardcore."

[drmcsteamy]

"I don't care about his medicine. I care about why he's looking at Addison like that. And why she's laughing."

[dr_isobel_s]

"Oh I hadn't noticed," I peer closer. They do both seem to be smiling bigger than usual. "I don't think you have anything to worry about, Mark. If anything had happened, we'd all know about it. You know how this place works."

I have everything to worry about.

"It hasn't stopped anybody in the past."

[dr_isobel_s]

"You know her better than anyone. Do you think she's already ready to date? I'm sure it's just one-sided."

"I thought I knew her."

[dr_isobel_s]

I finally really look at him.

"Jesus. You're a mess. You need to talk to her."

[drmcsteamy]

"There isn't a point. She doesn't want to talk."

[dr_isobel_s]

"Are you sorry for what happened? Do you want to find a way to make it work?"

[drmcsteamy]

"I didn't do anything."

[dr_isobel_s]

"I'm not saying you did. I'm just saying, if you're sorry things ended the way they did, I would like to know that, if I were her."

"She's not interested in hearnig it."
