I have a platinum engagement ring that needs to be resized, and am searching for a jeweler.  I've been looking at online reviews (Yelp, etc.) but most jewelry reviews refer to experience purchasing, not resizing or repair. So, I turn to you. What are your recommendations for ring resizing/jewelry repair? Rave reviews? Horror stories?

So of course when I finally decide I want my belly-button pierced, the piercer at my normal tattoo shop moves to Arizona. I checked the "piercing" and "jewelry" tags, but they were not really helpful.

Anyone have a recommendation for a good piercer? U.District area preferred, but other places okay.

Everyone seems to agree that The Place is Seattle Findings and Supply -- but it's only open M-F 8-5, and honestly, I don't need a million different kinds of clasp faces.

Does anyone know of a little craft store or jewelry store that's got some findings on the side? Just some pin backs and earring backs?
