Hey, I could've played "Happy Birthday" on my keyboard instead.

Start your day off with a link: Poofy the Vampire Slayer from Graham Norton's show with Anthony Stewart Head. Very cute.

I was awesome last night and not only finished cleaning my office (yay!) but also finally put together the hutch for my desk that I bought over a year ago (YAY!). I will take a picture of it with kitten acoutrements. :)

Today is asta77's birthday! In honor of her birthday, I wrote a small fic, with pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. Heh heh heh. Set before "Sacrifice." Rated PG OMG!

One night, Laura Roslin couldn't sleep. It wasn't because she was the President of the Colonies, or because her Vice President was a lunatic, or even because no one had complimented her on her pretty necklace that day. No, it was because Laura was angry. She couldn't figure out why Captain Apollo was ignoring her.

Had she been too forward, way back when he had first saved them all right after the attacks? She'd thought he knew she had been worried about him, not that she was trying to feel him up.

Not that she maybe wasn't doing that a little. He did have a nice body. No, she thought, It has to have been something that happened more recently. Maybe I should call him to find out. He is, after all, my military advisor, even when certain people seem to forget that *cough*RONDMOORE*cough*. Roslin patted her chest delicately, hoping she wasn't getting sick.

She picked up the phone and put in a call to the Captain. They made her wait a long time before he answered, and she wondered if he was going to beg off. She'd have to throw him out of the airlock for that.

"Madame President," he answered finally. "What can I do for you?"

"You can tell me what your problem is. Why haven't you come to visit me, even on official matters?"

There was a long pause. "I didn't want to tell you, but I promised myself I would if you called me and asked me directly. So it's convenient that you did. I realized when you almost died how much I loved you, and so I made myself stay away so that we wouldn't get into trouble.

"Oh."

"Can you ever forgive me?"
"Captain, come over to Colonial One right away. I have a pressing matter I must discuss with you. In person. In the middle of the night."

"Yes ma'am." She heard him smiling. "Should I bring anything with me?"

"The less you bring, the better."

In record time, Apollo cleaned himself up and flew a Raptor over to Colonial One. He entered Laura's bedroom with the impudence of a man in love. She slowly started to remove her robe.

"That's a pretty necklace."
"Shut up and kiss me, Captain."

"Yes ma'am!"

"Mmmm. You're a good kisser, Laura."

"Thanks. Now, how about you let me feel you up?"

THE END

Happy birthday, asta! I've enjoyed all of our time together, and I hope we get to hang out and stalk SciFi actors visit Vancouver this Spring!
