Leaving on a jet plane....
So, I'm leaving on the 3rd for Yaoicon. I know what you are thinking, "But, Yaoicon isn't until the 12th".

I'm flying into Portland from Halifax to meet up with my brother, currently living in Vancouver, who will be coming back from Burning Man. From there, we are going to roadtrip it from Portland to San Francisco.
My brother knows that I'm going to a convention for anime/manga. I have not yet told him that it is Yaoicon and what that entails. I am fully prepared to be made fun of, as that is one of his favourite pastimes as an older brother. However, a guy with a LBGT flag sticker on his van can't have to much to say.
This will be my first vacation since 2010, so I'm pretty excited for it. I've managed to save up more than I was hoping to, so I won't have to be too stingy with my spending.
It's the first time since I was in grade 8, so 2003 I think, that I've gone on a trip with my brother. He is definitely the traveller of the family, and the social butterfly. Even though I originally planned to do this trip on my own, and on a smaller scale, I'm glad that my extroverted brother will be with my introverted self on this trip. Hopefully it will be a trip to remember.
