Ten hours, six patients. The final two put together weighed more than the first four put together. Yikes!
I took #2Son out for a Mom and Son birthday dinner at Olive Garden. #1Son was still at work and #3Son is at play practice until 8 (eep!). So it was just me and my brand-spankin'-new 18-year-old. I sang him the birthday monkey song very quietly and we had a good time. They had us out of there in 35 minutes. A bit rushed but we went to Borders to get a book for school, bought a book of useless facts ("It is estimated that every year millions of trees are planted by forgetful squirrels."), and got #1Son a tin entitled 'Med School in a Box' for his Christmas stocking. On the side of the tin, it compares the price of med school at Harvard, Princeton, and Yale to the price of the box. The box is way cheaper. ;)
The dog has eaten three of my emery boards in two days.
The boy cat pukes up stuff but so far no hairball. So he's getting kitty malt every morning. Fortunately he likes the taste.
The girl cat has a few mats left that she doesn't want to part with. I may resort to scizzors again.
#1Son is downstairs watching Hanna Montana. o_O We had matching hats at work today because I made my Thanksgiving hat and jacket on Saturday and had some leftover material with turkeys on it so I thought I'd try my hand at the hats he likes to wear (like The Todd wears on Scrubs). It turned out quite well, if I do say so myself. His reaction when he found me also wearing my turkey hat: "Ohhhhh. I didn't realize you'd be wearing yours today." *evil maternal glee* Hey, I only have ten days til Thanksgiving. I think it's a safe bet that I'll be wearing my turkey hat everyday! I believe someone called him 'Turkey Boy'. My work here is done. *g*
I'm dead. I doubt I'll make it to Heroes tonight, which is fine because I still haven't watched last week's ep.
#2son,
